Dynamic team builder, leader, and manager with a unique combination of project, corporate and business experience. Innovative and cost-effective engineer, developer, operator, general manager, and senior executive. Recognized for successfully driving production operations; environmental permitting; exploration programs; optimizing feasibility studies; financing; mining and processing research, development, and construction; and building several companies.
Examined, significantly reviewed, or directly involved with 90 underground mines, 136 open pit mines and 174 mineral processing plants in the global metal, energy, and industrial mineral sectors. Employment included 14 years with five majors, then 44 years of executive management and senior consulting for 30+ junior companies.
Drove or strongly contributed to the initiation and closing of equity and debt financings, commodity and asset sales, mergers, acquisitions, leases, and joint ventures. Listed a private corporation in 2006 and grew its market capitalization to $460 million in 2007. Served on fourteen Boards since 1981. Three of these companies became recognized as top ten performers by the TSX Venture Exchange.
Resource sectors included copper, uranium, precious metals, cobalt, nickel, manganese, and critical minerals. Also involved with lead, zinc, oil shale, coal, talc and trona projects. Experience, positions, project locations and education included:
